Privacy policy

Eximius Watches is an independent watch studio and the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at support@eximiuswatches.com.

• Order details: your name, email address, phone number if given, delivery address, the exact watch configuration you ordered, and the order total.
• Payment status: card payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed.
• Messages you send us through the contact form or by email, and the details you enter when tracking an order.
• Your email address and the page or watch you were looking at when you subscribe to our emails.
• If you accept analytics cookies, anonymous usage data such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location, collected by Google Analytics.

• To take payment, build, dispatch and support your order (necessary to perform our contract with you).
• To send order confirmations, production and delivery updates (necessary to perform our contract with you).
• To email you about new watches, parts and workshop news, only if you subscribed (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• To follow up if you start a build or checkout and leave it unfinished, using the email address you gave us (our legitimate interest in helping you complete the order; every email has an unsubscribe link).
• To keep accounting records and meet tax law (legal obligation).
• To understand how the site is used and improve it (your consent, via the cookie notice).

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the store, each under its own data protection terms:

• Stripe, to take card payments.
• Our hosting and database provider, where orders and site data are stored.
• Klaviyo, to send marketing emails and follow-ups, and Resend, to send order confirmations and delivery updates.
• Google Analytics, for usage statistics, if you accept analytics cookies.
• Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Meta Pixel), to measure our advertising, only if you accept advertising cookies.
• Couriers, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your watch.

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on approved transfer safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

With your consent only, we use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd to see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to visits and orders. It collects the pages you view, basket and checkout activity, purchases and their value, your browser and device details, IP address and Meta cookie identifiers. For a completed order we also send Meta a hashed copy of your email address. We also note which campaign link brought you to the site (for example UTM tags) with your order.

You can withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings in the site footer; nothing further is sent to Meta after that.

Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which in the UK is six years. Email subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any warranty claim.

You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, to delete it where we are not required to keep it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell subscribers by email.
