Guide 06

What it actually costs.

Build Your Watch starts at £249. Nothing about the final price is hidden — here's exactly where it moves, and by how much.

The base build — £249

£249 gets you a complete, ready-to-wear watch: an NH35 automatic movement, a 40 mm steel case with a fluted bezel and an exhibition back, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a Jubilee bracelet, and your choice of Classic White, Midnight or Slate Roman dial with the hands that go with it. None of that carries a surcharge — it's the starting price, not a stripped-down one.

Where the price moves

Only three things change the price of a build, and each is shown before you pay:

  • CaseIntegrated Steel case and bracelet (the Riviera)+£30.00
  • CaseFluted Jubilee case with the 8285 day-date movement (the Mayfair)+£50.00
  • Dial"I'm Already Late" dial+£10.00

Every other dial and every hand set costs nothing extra. The builder only ever shows combinations that actually fit together, so you can't accidentally pick something incompatible.

Where the collection prices come from

The finished designs in the collection follow the same logic: the Riviera starts at £279 because its integrated case and bracelet add £30 over the base build, the Mayfair starts at £299 because its case and 8285 movement add £50, and "Who Cares? I'm Already Late" is £259 because its dial adds £10. It's the same pricing, just pre-assembled for you instead of chosen piece by piece.

How to think about it

The biggest decision is the case, because it sets the movement and the family of dials and hands that go with it. After that, the dial is where most of the personality lives. See Fluted vs Smooth Bezel and Jubilee vs Oyster if you're deciding which look suits you, or NH35 vs 8285 for what's inside.
